Middle School Mayhem

wk_badteacher

Who cares about the seventh grade? It’s the start of middle school, a whole new circle for Dante, and it’s full of all kinds of insignificant drama that encompasses the lives of all who enter.

In the movie “Bad Teacher,” Cameron Diaz plays Elizabeth, a seventh-grade teacher whose sole goal in life is to marry rich.

She is an alcoholic who doesn’t care about teaching and only starts actually trying when she wants the bonus that comes with having the class with the highest grades on the state exam.

This is a raunchy chick-flick which has plenty of “Oh my gosh” moments, but it is a great pick for a girl’s night out.

And there’s no need to fear, guys will also find humor in the weed smoking instructor, the idiotic substitute and the hysterical gym teacher.

The logical series of events would be Elizabeth becoming a better person, which she sort of does when she chooses the broke gym teacher over the rich sub.

But she is still an inappropriate role model for the children at her school. Even her eventual boyfriend informs her she should definitely pick another job.

This movie shows that all teachers have something wrong with them. It’s not super, won’t change your life and is in no way a must-see. However, the film is a funny, feel good experience you won’t regret.
