On Friday, April 29, the 117th session of the Indiana General Assembly will adjourn. With the date just days away, state legislators still have bills on the docket.
Legislation must continue through the state legislature before Friday's deadline in order for them to reach the governor's desk and potentially be signed into law.
House Bill No. 1210 is one of those pieces of legislation still on the table. Authored by Sen. Eric Turner, R-Marion, the bill would call for increased abortion regulations in the State of Indiana.
Additionally, the bill would prohibit state agencies from entering contracts with or making grants
to any entity that performs abortions or maintains or operates a
facility where abortions are performed.
One of those entities, Planned Parenthood, could potentially lose millions of dollars in funding.
