A Bloomington couple discovered thousands of dollars worth of personal property had been stolen from their home on East Fifth Street after returning from a 10-day trip on Nov. 15.
The woman’s Honda Civic that was parked in front of the home was taken, along with a 42-inch flat screen TV.
Other stolen items included rings, earrings, necklaces, watches and a “small pouch containing lotions and various personal items,” Bloomington Police Department Sgt. Jeff Canada said.
The residents believed someone broke into their home by forcing open a door on the south side of the house.
The car reported stolen was a dark green 2001 Honda Civic, with an Illinois plate.
