Meet the 2010-11 men's basketball team

MAURICE CREEK
Creek is a 6-foot-5, 200-pound sophomore guard from Oxon Hill, Md.
He led the Hoosiers in scoring last year with 16.4 points per game before his season ended with a knee injury against Bryant.

Creek scored 31 points in a loss to Kentucky, after which he was the nation’s top-scoring freshman. He finished his shortened season shooting 52 percent from the field and 44 percent from the 3-point line.

Creek was rated No. 59 overall by Rivals.com in the 2009 class after averaging 18.4 points per game as a senior at Hargrave Military Academy.

KORY BARNETT
Barnett is a 6-foot-5, 186-pound junior forward from Rochester, Ind. He has yet to register a point in 20 games as a Hoosier.

JEFF HOWARD
Howard is a 6-foot-8, 225-pound walk-on freshman forward from Westfield, Ind. He averaged 16.8 points and 12.9 rebounds per game as a senior at Westfield High School.

VERDELL JONES
Jones is a 6-foot-5, 185-pound junior guard from Champaign, Ill. He has 13 career games in which he scored 20 points or more, averaging 15 points per game last season. He was fourth on the team in rebounds last year with 121 boards, 93 of which were on the defensive end.

Jones was second on the team in assists ­— one behind Jeremiah Rivers’ total of 106 — but he also led the team in turnovers with 87.

Jones played his best in conference play, scoring 16.7 points and averaging 4.4 rebounds per Big Ten game.

MATT ROTH
Roth is a 6-foot-3, 192-pound junior guard from Washington, Ill. He is coming off a foot injury that sidelined him for all but two games in 2009-10, and he was able to score just four total points in that span.
In his freshman season, Roth started seven games and averaged 6.7 points per game. Fifty-seven of his 66 field goals in 2008-09 were from 3-point range, where he finished shooting 37 percent.

TOM PRITCHARD
Pritchard is a 6-foot-9, 250-pound junior forward from Westlake, Ohio. He started 22 games last season after starting all 31 in 2008-09, and his points per game dropped from 9.7 to 4.2.

He was more efficient, however, shooting 60 percent from the field last season compared to just 47 percent the year prior.

Pritchard averaged 3.5 rebounds per game last season, swatting away 18 balls and coming up with 15 steals.

WILL SHEEHEY
Sheehey is a 6-foot-6, 195-pound forward out of Sagemont High School in Stuart, Fla. As a senior, he averaged 14 points and seven rebounds per game to rank as the No. 141 player in the 2010 class by Rivals.com.

VICTOR OLADIPO
Oladipo is a 6-foot-5, 210-pound freshman guard out of DeMatha High School in Hyattsville, Md. He was ranked the No. 144 player in the 2010 class by Rivals.com
after averaging 11.9 points, 10.3 rebounds and 3.6 blocks per game as a high school senior.

GUY-MARC MICHEL
Michel is a 7-foot, 277-pound center transfer from Northern Idaho College, where he started 63 consecutive games. He averaged 7.1 points  and 7.3 rebounds per game as a sophomore last year, and he topped the Scenic West Athletic Conference — 16th nationally — with 3.1 blocks per game.

JEREMIAH RIVERS
Rivers is a 6-foot-5, 210-pound senior guard out of Winter Park (Fla.) High School. He averaged six points per game last season and led the Hoosiers with 106 assists, starting 28 games.

He was second on the team in blocks (18), behind only Christian Watford (19).

DEREK ELSTON
Elston is a 6-foot-9, 235-pound sophomore forward from Tipton, Ind. He played in all 31 games in 2009-10, starting in seven. He averaged 5.8 points and 4.1 rebounds per game, including a season-high 17 points with eight rebounds in the regular season finale against Northwestern.

DANIEL MOORE
Moore is a 5-foot-10, 170-pound junior guard from Carmel, Ind. He made no starts last season after starting in 10 games in 2008-09. His scoring average dropped from 2.5 points per game his freshman year to 1.3 points per game in 2009-10.

JORDAN HULLS
Hulls is a 6-foot, 175-pound sophomore point guard out of Bloomington High School South, where he won Indiana Mr. Basketball as a senior. He averaged 6.4 points per game as a freshman in 2009-10, shooting 40 percent from 3-point range.
Hulls was ranked No. 80 overall in Scout.com’s 2009 recruiting class after averaging 15.8 points per game in a state championship season.

BOBBY CAPOBIANCO
Capobianco is a 6-foot-9, 235-pound sophomore forward from Loveland, Ohio. He started five games in 2009-10, averaging 2.3 points and 2.6 rebounds per game. He averaged 17.3 points and 12 rebounds as a senior at Loveland High School.

TAYLOR WAYER
Wayer is a 5-foot-11, 172-pound walk-on freshman guard from Bishop Chatard (Indianapolis) High School. He averaged 18 points and three assists per game as a senior.

CHRISTIAN WATFORD
Watford is a 6-foot-9, 230-pound sophomore forward from Birmingham, Ala. He started all 31 games and recorded four double-doubles as a freshman last season, averaging 12 points per game.

He led the team with 187 rebounds, averaging a team-high six per game.
Watford was also the team’s best free-throw shooter, hitting 80 percent of his tries. As a senior at Shades Valley High School, he averaged 25 points and 13 rebounds per game and was rated the No. 34 prospect by Rivals.com in the 2009 class.
