from IDS Reports
Take Back the Night, a rally in support of victims and survivors of domestic abuse and sexual assault, will begin today at 6:30 p.m. in Dunn Meadow.
The annual event will include musical performances and lectures from IU and local leaders, including Felisha Legette-Jack, the head coach of IU women’s basketball, and Christina Cornetta, crisis intervention services coordinator for the Middle Way House.
Following the speakers, the group will march to the courthouse to speak out about domestic and sexual abuse.
A candlelight vigil will close the rally at 8 p.m.
The event, put on by the Women’s Student Association, is open to the public and attendees are encouraged to bring an article of gently used clothing to donate to Middle Way House.
