Woman faces battery charge

A woman was arrested Tuesday for allegedly punching and pepper spraying another woman.

Erin E. Morton, 28, is facing preliminary charges of battery and criminal mischief.

When police arrived on the 3000 block of East Amy Lane, they discovered that Morton punched and pepper sprayed another woman who she claimed was with a man she was having relations with, according to Bloomington Police Department Lt. David Drake, who was reading from a police report.

Morton also keyed the man’s pickup truck with profanity, threatened to get a gun to shoot him and broke an apartment window, Drake said.
