Snowfall and freezing temperatures are causing extra traffic problems and Indiana State Police are responding to the increase in accidents.
Since 4:30 a.m., ISP has responded to 97 crashes and slide-offs, according to a press release. No serious injuries have been reported as of 9:30 a.m.
Currently they have more than 20 officers working in the Indianapolis area, according to the release.
Bloominton Police Department Sgt. Jeff Canada reported that there were 33 vehicle related accidents from 5:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m.
There were two leaving the scene of an accident incidents, one personal injury and the rest were property damage incidents.
Most accidents occured on North Walnut Street in the Blue Ridge area, Tapp Road, Rockport Road and around the intersection Fullerton Pike and State Road 37.
