IU receives 8,900 additional H1N1 vaccinations

IU Bloomington students and employees with H1N1 vaccine reservations for Week 1, Week 2 or Week 3 will receive the free vaccine by Dec. 9, according to an IU press release.

The IU Health Center received 8,900 doses last week.

People with reservations on other weeks will be immunized as more supplies come in.
The vaccines will be distributed Dec. 2 and then from Dec. 7 to 9.

Students and employees with reservations for Wednesday-Week 1 or Wednesday-Week 2 will receive their vaccination on Dec. 2. These people should have already received a confirmation e-mail.

On Monday, Dec. 7, those who made online pre-reservations for Monday-Week 2 or Monday-Week 3, will receive their vaccinations.

On Tuesday, Dec. 8, those who made online pre-reservations for Tuesday-Week 1 or Tuesday-Week 2, will receive their vaccinations.

On Wednesday, Dec. 9, those who made online pre-reservations for Tuesday-Week 3 or Wednesday-Week 3, will receive their vaccinations.

The vaccinations will take place in Assembly Hall and students and employees should arrive at least 10 minutes early and enter through the south entrance facing 17th Street.

Those hoping to be vaccinated should bring their confirmation e-mail and an H1N1 consent form and should wear short-sleeve shirts. To cancel an appointment, call 812-855-7688.

Qualified students and employees at IU Bloomington can still reserve an H1N1 vaccination by visiting either the IUB home page at www.iub.edu, the IU Health Center home page at healthcenter.indiana.edu or the Health Center page on OneStart.
