Ivy Tech-Northeast opens new building

Ivy Tech Community College-Northeast will open a new building today, complete with a ribbon cutting ceremony.

Their new Student Life Center will house several offices, classrooms, laboratories, childcare facility, fitness center, gymnasium and cafe grill according to a press release.

The building, formerly known as the Community Mall was previously owned by the Fort Wayne State Developmental Center and underwent an $8 million renovation during the past year.

Those who attend the ceremony from 1:30-4 p.m. will have the opportunity to take tours of the facility, enjoy refreshments, receive give-aways, and experience student life.
