H1N1 infects Backstreet Boy

Backstreet Boys member Brian Litrell has been diagnosed with H1N1. The band cancelled their PINKTOBER Hard Rock Café signing in New York City as a result.

The band’s other members, Nick Carter, Howie Dorough and AJ McLean, are not showing symptoms. However, a doctor has prescribed medicine to both the band and the touring party as a precaution. They all recently returned from Tokyo.

The band also cancelled their appearance tomorrow on the CBS Early Show as well as a performance at PC Richards, which will be rescheduled for a later date. Their schedule for the rest of the week is undetermined.

“This is Us,” is the Backstreet Boys’ newest album and will be released tomorrow.
