The Asian Culture Center’s 10th annual Culture Camp for children is currently underway.
The center is offering free workshops to groups of children ages 6 to 12 through July 24.
“Our two-hour workshops are designed to foster awareness and appreciation of the global community,” said Melanie Castillo-Cullather, the Asian Culture Center director, in a press release. “A single program showcases one Asian ethnic culture, which participants get to choose in advance, and features fun and interactive activities, including hands-on arts and
crafts, traditional games, exploring music, and language and cooking demonstrations.”
The camp welcomes individual and group visits, up to 15 children per group. Sessions are in the mornings from 10 a.m. to noon, and in the afternoons from 2 to 4 p.m., according to an IU press release.
All camp programs will be at the Asian Culture Center, 807 E. 10th St. For additional information, call 856-5361.
