INDIANAPOLIS – Republican vice-presidential candidate Sarah Palin plans to hold a rally in the Indianapolis area on Friday.
Campaign officials say details are still being worked out.
The visit will be Palin’s first campaign stop in Indiana. GOP presidential nominee Sen. John McCain last visited Indiana on July 1.
Palin’s visit comes a little more than a week after Democratic presidential nominee Sen. Barack Obama held a rally at the state fairgrounds in Indianapolis. Obama has made six trips to Indiana since the May primary, and his running mate, Sen. Joe Biden, visited southern Indiana in September.
Michelle Obama is scheduled to make a campaign stop on behalf of her husband in Fort Wayne on Wednesday.
