Obama’s most dangerous association

There’s been a lot of talk this election season about shady associates and allies: William Ayers, Tony Rezko, Jim Johnson, Jeremiah Wright and Joe Biden.

As significant and relevant as the questions and criticisms are in this regard, they’re not the most important consideration. The Democratic presidential candidate’s most dangerous association is with himself – the real Barack Obama, whom he’s been trying to keep hidden ever since his rise to national prominence.

Obama is running as a center-left candidate who focuses more on emotional themes than on ideology or policy. When he does discuss policy, he often tries to convince us of what a centrist he is, spouting right-wing ideas like tax cuts, for example.

The reality is that the National Journal rated Obama the most liberal senator for 2007. And he has a long history of talking about his far-left views.

Recently, audio of Obama surfaced in which he talks about how the Constitution reflects the “fundamental flaw of this country” and speculates on whether the legislative or judicial system is best designed for wealth redistribution. It’s making the rounds on the Internet, and you really need to listen to this stuff before you vote.

This is a man with a profound, personal contempt for the notion that there are people who are making it in life without his assistance. If you’ve been successful, your reward under Obama and a Democratic Congress will be to sign over the fruits of your labor to someone of their choosing.

Someone, in almost all instances, who’ll vote for them in future elections. This is outright thievery, and it’s an outrage.

If there are any undecided independent voters left, you must understand that there’s nothing “moderate” about Obama (except, uhh, perhaps his, um, speaking ability without, uhh, a teleprompter).

Obama wants desperately to hide who he really is from voters.

He doesn’t want you to know about his radical ideology. He wants you swept up in the emotionalism and groupthink that have created his enormous popularity.

He doesn’t want you thinking about his plans for wealth redistribution. He wants you convinced he’s a centrist who’ll bring about a post-partisan era of peace and unity to American politics (never mind that he couldn’t even unite his own party during the primary campaign).

He doesn’t want you considering his inexperience and utter lack of meaningful accomplishments. He wants you blindly chanting about “hope” and “change.”

Instead of investigating Obama’s dangerous legacy, many in the media have been more concerned with picking apart Joe the plumber, a man who dared to question Obama on his tax policies. And at least two television news stations have reportedly been blacklisted by his campaign for stooping to such low tactics as asking his running mate whether their socialist ideas should be considered socialism.

Don’t think. Don’t question. Just believe.

Obama’s not just seeking a change from the last eight years. He wants change that will erase our legacy of individual rights and responsibilities and convert us all into dependents, relying on Big Brother for our every need.

Don’t look back one day and regret voting for the trendy candidate.
