About 1,000 faculty and staff members, friends, family and donors gathered Friday to celebrate the work of recently retired IU Foundation President Curt Simic.
Various campus leaders including IU President Michael McRobbie spoke at the celebration, which was held in the Musical Arts Center. The Beaux Arts Trio also gave a performance during the event.
Awards and photos of Simic were on display during a reception that was held in the lobby before the ceremony began. The reception gave attendees the chance to greet and talk with Simic, who has been with IU for 20 years.
