Fantastical ‘Cirque Dreams’ showing at IU Auditorium tonight

With ultraviolet colors, contortionists and aerialists, Neil Goldberg’s “Cirque Dreams Jungle Fantasy” will morph the IU Auditorium into a whimsical dreamscape tonight.\nTaking place in a magical forest, performers from around the world bring the jungle to life using special effects and creative choreography on a multi-million-dollar set. The 90-minute show features gravity-defying aerial acts, vine swinging and puppeteering. \nGoldberg created Cirque Productions in 1993. It was the first American company to produce the European, theatrical cirque-style shows for theaters and tours. The similarly styled and well-known Cirque du Soleil is based in Canada. \n“Jungle Fantasy” is one of Goldberg’s 12 original productions and is appropriate for all ages. The show is at 7:30 p.m. today at the IU Auditorium. Tickets are $29 to $45 for general admission, and $15 to $29 for IU students and children. They can be purchased through Ticketmaster or at the IU Auditorium box office. For more information, visit www.iuauditorium.com.
