Last night marked the end of a memorable season for us. I thought we did a good job of pressuring Adam Morrison and holding him to half of his scoring average. Unfortunately, we weren't able to do as good a job on Gonzaga's other players. Regardless, we didn't give up even when Gonzaga took commanding leads. We fought back and made it a game where we had opportunities to win. This was a common theme for us throughout the year and I think that says a lot about our team. When we were 13 and 10 at one point during the season and the NCAA tournament looked very unlikely for us, we kept fighting and won our last four Big Ten games as well as a game in the Big Ten Tournament to give us a 6 seed in the NCAA Tournament. Going from being on the tournament bubble to earning a 6 seed shows a lot about the determination of the players and coaches on our team. We were down 10 to San Diego State with 10 minutes left, but that didn't stop us. For us to be playing for a trip to the Sweet 16 last night after everything else that had happened during the season is pretty remarkable in my mind. I'm really proud of what the team was able to do despite the circumstances and thank you to all the fans that stuck with us through thick and thin. Hopefully we gave you something to cheer about the last couple of weeks of the season. It certainly wasn't the way we wanted the year to end, but considering what we were able to overcome, I think we've shown a lot of charcter and heart in what we accomplished. Thanks to all the loyal fans and please continue to support us in the seasons to come.
