Mittal Chief Financial Officer Aditya Mittal predicted during a meeting Sunday, Feb. 26, 2006, in Chicago that the controversial proposal to combine Mittal and rival Arcelor SA, the world's two largest steel manufacturers, will close by the end of June after gaining approval from European regulators and Arcelor shareholders.
