What: Indiana Arc (1995) by Charles Perry (American, 1929-present)

Where to find it: The lawn of the IU Art \nMuseum

Why you should care: This 20-foot statue of painted aluminum was commissioned in honor of former IU President Thomas Ehrlich and his wife, Ellen. During their time at IU (from 1987 to 1994), they were frequent supporters of the museum. Charles Perry used the principles of an equilateral triangle to create the piece, which interplays solids, edges and planes.
