A biker was taken to Bloomington Hospital after falling from her bike in front of Urban Outfitters on Kirkwood Friday.\nAccording to Lt. Jerry Minger of the IU Police Department, Karen Jensen was riding her bike west on Kirkwood following her friend Richard Bate. Bate told police he felt Jensen's bike make contact with his and when he turned around she had fallen from her bike and appeared to be seizing.\nParamedics arrived and Jensen was found to have a strong pulse and head mobilization. She was then transported to Bloomington Hospital in stable condition, the police reports said.
Deer goes 'buck' wild at McNutt
Several windows were broken when a deer found itself trapped in the courtyard of McNutt quad Saturday.\nAccording to Minger, officers called to the scene observed a deer running from corner to corner of the courtyard, banging its head on the northwest doors and windows around the courtyard attempting to free itself.\nAnimal Control was called to the scene but the deer, bleeding from the mouth but otherwise appearing uninjured, made it to the ramp in the courtyard and left the area before they arrived, the police reports said.
Teenager assaulted at fireworks
What began as a fight between two teenagers resulted in an assault at gate 10 of the purple parking lot at the Memorial Stadium fireworks on Monday.\nAccording to Minger, officers were sent to the scene in response to an assault that had occurred. The 17-year-old victim, who had abrasions and swelling of his left eye, told officers he had been waiting in the parking lot for a friend when a subject he thought he knew began to exchange taunts. \nThe victim admitted to agreeing to fight, and told officers he went with the subject, thought to be 14 or 15-years-old, and five of his friends to the intramural area near gate 10. He told police the subject slipped the ring of a padlock around his middle finger, and when the victim told the subject he didn't want to fight anymore, the subject struck him in the face. He told officers he walked away, but was struck again by another individual at the scene. \nMinger said the incident is under investigation by the IUPD, and they are still attempting to determine the identity of the assailant.
