A masked man brandishing a firearm robbed Key Bank on South College Mall Road at approximately 3:30 p.m. Wednesday. \nThe man, possibly between 25 and 30 years of age, with an average build and wearing a sweatshirt, shorts, tennis shoes and a cover over his face, walked into the bank, demanded money and confronted a teller with the \nfirearm, said Bloomington Police Department Captain Joe Qualters. Qualters did not know the amount of money taken.\nQualters said the suspect put the money in a backpack and fled east from the bank. No one was injured during the robbery. The suspect's firearm could have been a sawed-off shotgun, he said.\n"Several officers converged on the area but failed to locate the suspect," Qualters said. \nAs of press time Wednesday, the suspect was still at large.\nAnyone with information about the robbery should contact Det. Rick Crussen at 349-3374.
