Bloomingtonians to get a taste of town

This Saturday 41 of the best of Bloomington's restaurants, wineries and brewpubs will offer the Bloomington community a taste of what they have to offer. \nFor the last 23 years the Taste of Bloomington has been put on by the Bloomington Downtown Commission and the Bloomington Area Restaurant Association. From chocolate fondue to falafel sandwiches, fried mushrooms to fried ribs, the Taste of Bloomington has a lot to offer.\nBloomington has garnered a reputation for diverse food, and the Taste of Bloomington will feature middle-eastern, Thai, Greek, Italian, Mexican, soul food, vegetarian and cold drinks.\nWhile feeding their mouths, residents will also have food for their ears as they listen to several Bloomington music acts in an outdoor festival, featuring reggae, jazz, funk and boogie. \nEntertainment will be provided for youths of all ages, including WonderLab, which will feature hands-on activities and Polka Dot the Clown.\nA portion of the proceeds will go to benefit the Community Kitchen of Monroe County and the Hoosier Hills Food Bank.
