When did American girls become easy?

I must apologize, for I have lied in my column once again. This one isn't about stereotypes, like I promised. Because this is my last article, you can guarantee that I have no more opportunities to lie. Wipe your tears ...\nIt would have been great to do one on stereotypes, but some Spanish people had no idea how to answer the question. I can, however, let you all in on what I know from being around here. OK, so I lied again. I even lied about guaranteeing not to lie. So it really is on stereotypes -- kind of.\nThe Spanish have this crazy idea that all Americans love hamburgers and pizza. Everywhere I go, pizza is on the menu. I'm surprised the McDonald's here doesn't sell it. I went to a restaurant, or café, rather, and ordered a hamburger probably the first month I was here. I didn't know they were going to give me one that wasn't fully cooked. That was the last time I had a hamburger from a place that didn't belong to an American chain.\nLet's see, they think our fashion sense is awful and flip-flops are our way of "sloppy fashion." I can understand how they think that, seeing as they usually dress up to go to the grocery store. I'm not willing to prove them wrong because when I have to wake up early to go somewhere, I usually go out in sweat pants.\nThey all have this idea that every room in our houses has a television and every household has more than one car. They think we are overly wasteful of petroleum and too lazy to walk anywhere (which happens to be true).\nAnother thing they believe of Americans is that we are overly patriotic. This comes with reason because every time they see Bush on TV he's surrounded by at least four flags. His limo even has them. We can't blame them for this assumption, although increased patriotism began after 9-11. This might be hard for them to grasp, but it is, indeed, a reason. But I'm not here to make excuses for anyone. I should just move to Switzerland.\nAh yes, another connotation is that American girls are easy. I have no idea why they think this, I swear. But nonetheless, that's what they think, and they try to pursue Americans, especially at clubs and bars.\nSo that's all I've got. Since it's now almost the end of the semester, this is my final "Letter from Abroad." I'm coming home soon. I'll promptly be available to autograph copies of my column thus far when I return.\nSo I must say farewell to you all, my dear, faithful readers. It's been a pleasure.
