Sigma Alpha Mu to host basketball \ntourney next month\nSigma Alpha Mu is holding a 3-on-3 basketball tournament at the Wildermuth basketball courts in the School of Health, Physical Education and Recreation. The tournament, scheduled for March 28 from noon to 11 p.m., costs $35 for one team of three or $100 for three teams of three. \nThe event will feature food, entertainment and prizes. All money raised will go to the Elizabeth Glaser Pediatric AIDS Foundation.\nStudents interested in signing up a team can visit www.indiana.edu/~sammy to download a registration flyer. Registration is due March 12.

IFC, Panhellenic officers travel to \nconference in Chicago\nTwenty-four Interfraternity Council and Panhellenic officers traveled to Chicago from Feb. 19-22 for the annual Mid-American Greek Council Association, a 16-state region including over 50 colleges and universities and 1,900 delegates.\nThe national conference -- the largest of its kind -- offered programs for educational development, Greek leadership and social interaction. \nSenior Sam Locke was president of the event after being elected two conferences ago. \nSeven nationally-renowned motivational speakers addressed issues surrounding the Greek community at the conference. \nAccording to a press release, Locke said in his closing remarks the most important aspect of the conference was, "it provided a chance for Greek leaders all over the nation to collaborate ideas and encourage one another on in their separate, yet similar tasks."

Black Law Student Association to host Barrister's Ball Friday\nThe Black Law Student Association will host its annual Barrister's Ball from 8 p.m. to 2 a.m. Friday, in Alumni Hall at the Indiana Memorial Union. Tickets will be on sale all week for $50 a couple or $30 a person in the lobby of the School of Law. Tickets include appetizers and dinner. Graduate student to deliver seminar\nGraduate student in the chemistry department William C. Broshears will give an Analytical Chemistry Seminar today.
