Latina sorority to hold informational call-out meeting\nSigma Lambda Gamma, IU's latina sorority, will be holding a general interest meeting and ice cream social at 8 p.m. tonight in the Ashton-Barnes Lounge.\nSigma Lambda Gamma is the largest and fastest growing Latina-based sorority with multicultural membership in the nation. Build-a-bear raises money for cancer patients\nThe Mitzvah Corps, Rosh Chodesh, and the Israeli Cultural Group are hosting a build-a-bear event 7:30 p.m. tonight at the Helene G. Simon Hillel Center. \nAs part of Mitzvah Corps' Focus on Children Month, the groups are making teddy bears to send to Camp Simcha, a camp for Israeli children with cancer and other life-threatening illnesses.\nEveryone is welcome and encouraged to attend. IU East offers overseas study in Costa Rica\nThe IU East Division of Humanities and Fine Arts will offer an overseas study program in Costa Rica this summer. \n"We chose Costa Rica for its rich variety of cultural and environmental resources," said Luz Mary Rincon, IU East foreign languages lecturer and creator of the new overseas program, in a press release. "This opportunity will enhance the students' educational experience by living within a Latin American culture and expand their professional career options."\nCourses will be delivered through Centro Panamericano de Idiomas (CPI) on the Heredia regional campus, approximately 30 minutes from San Jose. The $2,000 fee includes three credit hours of tuition, airfaire, accommodation, two meals a day and excursions, according to a statement.\nNon-IU students may also take advantage of this opportunity provided they meet the minimum requirements.
