Sorry, Charlie: DVD doesn't go 'full throttle'

The DVD of Charlie's Angels: Full Throttle includes an abundance of goodies. And no, they're not in the form of incredible special effects, provocative characters or any trace of a plot.\nIncluded on the "special edition" unrated DVD is pop-up trivia that can be viewed during the movie and a cameo-graphy which provides links to the various cameo appearances in the film.\nAlso, there are over 30 minutes of intriguing featurettes, discussing everything from the "Pussycat Dolls," the caberet backup dancers during one scene, to the stunts and vehicles used.\nIf only the film itself were as fabulous as the special features.\nAlthough it doesn't have to be strong, even the most full-blown action movie needs to have a plot. The plot of Full Throttle was apparently "Hey, we need to run down the beach in a bikini/perform a striptease/ride a mechanical bull in order to catch the bad guy." Towards the end, there's finally the promise of some hard-core action violence. Unfortunately, the special effects people tried to cash in on the success of The Matrix, so most of the fighting is in unbearable slow motion. It worked for Keanu and company, but for the Angels it failed miserably.
