The IU Police Department reported the following activity:\nMay 2\n• An employee reported the theft of three laptop computers from Graduate Business School, Room #0011E. Estimated loss is $4,000. \n• Junior Lauren M. Greer, resident of Willkie Quad, reported the theft of her wallet from the Simon Center. Estimated loss is $100. \n• Sophomore Robert F. Fellows, resident of North Jordan Avenue, reported the theft of a backpack and its contents. Estimated loss is $150. \nMay 3\n• A student resident of Teter Quad reported vandalism after someone threw a rock through her dorm window. Estimated damage is $200. \n• Graduate student Junko Dosaka, resident of North Smith Road, reported the theft of her cell phone from the Indiana Memorial Union. Estimated loss is $100. \n• Non-student Toby L. Magness was arrested at Fourth and Dunn streets on a warrant for possession of a controlled substance, a Class D felony. \n• Non-student Sara J. Hochstetler was arrested at Fourth and Dunn streets on a warrant for possession of a controlled substance, a Class D felony. \nMay 4\n• Sophomore Lajja Ashar, resident of Eastgate Lane, reported the theft of a backpack and its contents from the Main Library. Estimated loss is $1,268. \n• Freshman Matthew B. Kesten, resident of Briscoe Quad, reported the theft of a Palm Pilot from his room. Estimated loss is $400. \n• Senior Seth B. Friedman, 21, resident of North Jordan Avenue, was arrested at his residence for possession of a controlled substance and reckless possession of paraphernalia. \nMay 5\n• An employee reported that someone vandalized an IU truck parked behind the Geology Building. Estimated damage is $400. \n• Freshman Rachel Bennett, resident of Foster Quad, reported the theft her backpack and contents from the fourth floor of the Undergraduate Main Library. Estimated loss is $125. \n• Non-student Aris S. Beldavs, 35, resident of South Madison Street, was arrested at the School of Health, Physical Education and Recreation building for trespassing and transported to the Monroe County Jail. \nMay 6\n• Officers responded to a disturbance call at Forest Quad B Tower. The responsible subjects were not located. \n• Freshman Maxwell T. Warren, 19, resident of Forest Quad B Tower, was cited for illegal consumption of alcohol.\n• An employee reported vandalism to a vehicle parked in the white lot. Amber M. Holeman, the registered owner and a student resident at Willkie Quad, was notified. Estimated damage is $500. \n• An employee reported damage to and theft from a vehicle while it was parked in the white lot. Estimated damage and loss is $650. \n• An employee reported the theft of items from a shed on the east side of 100 South Ballantine Rd. Estimated loss is $660. \n• Sophomore Brian C. Cole, resident at Wright Quad, reported the theft of his bicycle from 501 North Jordan Ave. Estimated loss is $185. \nMay 7\n• An employee reported vandalism to the north door of the Teter Quad Rabb Library. Estimated damage is $160. \n• An employee reported the theft of a laptop computer from Stone Belt Center, 2815 East 10th Street, room #30. Estimated loss is $1,349. \n• Junior Jeff Browne, resident of North Jordan Avenue, reported his backpack missing from the Main Library. Estimated loss is $235. \n• Freshman Lauren Torpey reported the theft of her bike from Foster Quad. Estimated loss is $400. \n• Junior Tyler W. Christman, 20, reported his bicycle stolen from the south side bike rack of McNutt Quad. Estimated loss is $600. \nMay 8\n• Non-student Scott E. Philotoff, 26, resident of Mishawaka, Ind., was arrested for two counts of Class-A misdemeanor battery and public intoxication. \n• An employee reported several buildings and vehicles were damaged with some type of spray paint in the area of Kirkwood Hall. Estimated damage is $1,000.
