IUPD Blotter

The following activity was reported by the IU Police Department:\nMarch 24\n• An employee reported the theft of a projector from the Kelley School of Business Room 127. Estimated loss is $4,300.\n• Senior Julie M. Mensik, Alpha Delta Pi sorority president, reported check deception by a former member of 2001 Fishers Court. Estimated loss is $3,250.\nMarch 26\n• Junior Gate Jantaraweragul, resident of East Southern Drive, reported vandalism to his 1988 Jaguar XJ6 while it was parked in the Owen Hall lot. Estimated damage is $500.\n• An IU Physical Plant employee reported damage to a light pole on the southwest corner of Ashton Center. Estimated damage is $1,500.\n• An IU School of Education employee reported the theft of a computer monitor from the Wright Education Building. Estimated loss is $300.\n• Junior Timothy D. Rodmaker, resident of East Seventh Street, reported the loss of his wallet while at the HPER building. Estimated loss is $250.\n• An apparent death believed to be by natural causes is being investigated by IUPD detectives. The victim was transported from an IU sorority to the Bloomington Hospital emergency room where the victim was pronounced dead.\n• An apparent burglary was reported at a vacant building on North Jordan Avenue. Estimated damage and loss is $700.\nMarch 27\n• Freshman Derek R. Garson, 18, resident of Wright Quad, was arrested at East Seventh Street and Indiana Avenue for illegal consumption, public intoxication, false informing and possession of false ID.\n• Non-student Jack L. Hedrick, 25, resident of Ellettsville, was arrested in the 300 block of North Jordan Avenue for public intoxication.\n• Junior Amy M. Myjak, 20, resident of North Jordan Avenue, was cited at 11th Street and Walnut Grove for illegal consumption.\n• Non-student Timothy T. Carlen, 21, resident of Kearny, N.J., was arrested at East Second Street and College Avenue for public intoxication.\n• Junior Anthony J. Amadeo, 20, resident of Clarizz Boulevard; freshman Megan K. Crain, 19, resident of Briscoe Quad; and freshman Mary L. Montiel, 18, resident of Briscoe Quad, were arrested at East Second Street and College Avenue for illegal consumption.
