The Best of WWE Confidential

There are only two industries that have an entirely loyal fan base, even though the material they create is shocking, immoral and fake. One is the porn industry and the other is the wrestling industry.\nVince McMahon, owner of World Wrestling Entertainment, is one of the smartest businessmen out there. He took a few gigantic muscles, a weak storyline and some entertaining body slams to create one of the biggest phenomenons ever. But if you don't like to see huge sweaty guys tackling each other, but are still interested in the soap opera-like plotlines and behind-the-scenes arguments, then "WWE Confidential" is for you. \nSimilar to VH1's "Behind the Music," WWE created a show that looks at the real lives of the people known to the world as WWE Superstars. Since the show had a few loyal viewers, WWE Home Video decided to collaborate the "best" and craziest moments from all the action.\nIn this DVD viewers will get to see the true story of how the WWE took over the WCW, the infamous Bret Hart versus Shawn Michael's controversial World Championship match and why "Stone Cold" Steve Austin left the corporation. To any fan of wrestling, this is a must-see, since these were some of the biggest moments that shaped the sport. The bad part of this DVD is that there really aren't many more interesting things on it. Many of the behind-the-scene segments are just boring and pointless. There is really no middle ground with this "Best Of" collection. Viewers either get the really good stuff like Degeneration X invading WCW a few years back or the horribly boring \nH-O-R-S-E competition between Bradshaw and the chick that won the MTV wrestling contest.\nThe DVD is produced well and some of the stories are interesting, as well as the bonus matches like Hart versus The British Bulldog, but the main fact is that the WWE just made this DVD a little too prematurely. They should have waited to get more good stuff to make it a true "Best of WWE Confidential," rather than producing a second-rate collaboration.
