Additional inconvenience

While it's understandable that more forms of identification should be required for such an important personal document as a driver's license, the ultimate goal of the counter-terrorism action will not be achieved. Terrorists with the time, money and desire to get a license probably won't go through the Bureau of Motor Vehicles (BMV) anyway. Even if they did, they could easily acquire a legitimate license by providing three fake and convincing forms of identification. \nIt's hard enough to provide three forms of ID as it is, particularly for those of us who aren't in high school or college anymore and don't have student ID's to fall back on. This isn't to say new policies shouldn't be enacted because of their potential for failure -- it's just that this particular policy will do little more than be an additional inconvenience for legal citizens renewing driver's licenses at the BMV.
