'Sim Golf' is no hole in one

Sid Meier's Sim Golf\nRating: E for Everyone\nFor: PC\nBy: EA Games\nFresh off a tour championship with "Sim People," the game masters at EA decided to take a stroke at a new kind of "Sim," golf. The result is an interesting, somewhat addictive but sometimes repetitive "Sim" adventure.\n"Sim Golf" is similar to "Sim Rollercoaster"; you get to create a recreation spot for the funny speaking people in the world of "Sim." Instead of iron rails and wooden tracks, "Sim Golf" lets the player lay fairways, greens, sandtraps and ball washers. \nThe game starts with selecting a course to buy. Locations are limited because of a small pocket you start with. But if your course is successful, and your greens make enough green, you can buy and start new courses around the world.\nOnce you select a course, it's time to build. You can create about three holes before running out of cash, but play is quick and your bank account skyrockets accordingly. After about a half hour you'll already be in the year 2004 and the family of alligators living on your course will have multiplied. \n"Sim Golf" is full of intersting buildings, trees and sand traps. It also lets you putt from your own rough, and the better you play the more world prestige you and your course get.\n"Sim" is addictive, but it doesn't make you fiend for more play as much as previous "Sim" adventures. The graphics are average, and the people are kind of annoying after a while. The golf gameplay itself is unchallenging and really uninteresting. Good luck trying to get your employees to do what you want. You have to direct them to everything, but you do get to fire people. Firing people also makes other employees intimidated, so they work harder.\nOverall, "Sim" is interesting but gets annoying much more quickly than past "Sim" games. If you like the "Sim"s and you like golf, then this game is for you. If not, it's worth borrowing from a friend.\n
