IU Student Association President Jake Oakman has announced that he will not run for reelection. Earlier in the semester the senior expressed interest in running again, but said he still needed time to consider it.\nOakman was considering returning to IU as a first year law student next school year, but he has decided to put law school off until the following semester. \n"It\'s a good decision for him," said Jeff Wuslich, IUSA vice president for administration. "He knows what he wants to do."\nOakman is now endorsing Wuslich, a sophomore, and graduate student Emily Kolles, current IUSA student body treasurers, as executive candidates. \n"I think Jeff Wuslich is ready," Oakman said, "and he\'s the best person for the job. I think he has the passion and knowledge to step up, and I can\'t think of anyone better."\nWuslich expressed his intent to run as president, while Kolles said she was not sure as to what position she would want to fill on the executive ticket.\n"I think I have a lot of things I can give to the organization along with Emily," Wuslich said. "If I didn\'t think I had anything to offer the students, we wouldn\'t do it."\nIf they were to win again, Wuslich and Kolles said their experience will make IUSA a stronger voice for students.\n"It eliminates the learning curve," Oakman said. "It would be best for students to let them step-up and come back next year. It helps the credibility of the organization to have continuity. Their knowledge would be their No. 1 asset."\nKolles hopes that next year\'s executive ticket will have the same goals as the current executives of IUSA.\n"We all have the same goals," Kolles said. "I think (Oakman) knows we would be able to carry on the objectives of his administration into the future."\nWuslich feels that continuing into next year will help IUSA\'s relationship with IU's administration. \n"I think one of the biggest advantages the administration has over the students is that high turnover rate in (student) leadership positions," Wuslich said. "Any issue that comes up, the administration can out-wait. Students graduate and the issue dies."\nHigh turnover rates also help to bring in new voices and opinions to organizations. With Wuslich and Kolles running, only two of the executives would be new. \nOakman said he hopes that those students active in IUSA will stay together through the election. \n"I\'d hate for people to divide support and let someone who doesn\'t have best interest of students to come in," Oakman said. That would hurt the organization"
