Utility executive to speak at SPEA\nAn energy executive will discuss California's energy crisis at 4 p.m. today in the School of Public and Environmental Affairs atrium.\nEdward Z. Fox, vice president for communications, environment and safety for the Arizona Public Service Company, will talk about the energy situation in California and the southwest. The speech is part of SPEA's Colloquium 2001 series.\nThe company is the largest public utility in Arizona. Fox is responsible for environmental, regulators and the general compliance, and also overseas the company's technology development group. He is the former director of the Arizona Department of Environmental Quality and also practices law. \nThe event is free and open to the public.\nWeek to pay tribute to graduate students\nThis week is graduate and professional student appreciation week, with many events planned to honor these students.\nActivities include a coffee hour from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Wednesday in the Indiana Memorial Union State Room East. There will also be a garden party at 6 p.m. Saturday at the Woodburn House with a prize drawing benefitting the Middle Way House.
