Female students report alleged rapes

A 19-year-old female student reported at about 12:55 a.m. Tuesday that she had been raped a few weeks earlier, according to the IU Police Department.\nThe student reported that the incident occurred at her off-campus residence, police said. Police said the student knew and had dated the suspect. \nThe case is under investigation, police said, and investigators have interviewed several people. While investigating, police said they discovered the suspect had committed a second sexual assault. \nThe second victim, an 18-year-old female student, was also an acquaintance of the suspect, police said.\nPolice said the 18-year-old student reported she was raped sometime between 2 p.m. and 8 p.m. March 18 at the suspect's off-campus residence.\nNo arrests have been made, and both cases are under investigation.
