Never have I seen a school with such a terrible coach accept his performance without any repercussions. If anyone in the working public was to perform as poorly in his position as Cam Cameron has, he would be terminated without a second thought.\nI've heard one reason he's not being fired is because he still has three years left on his contract. If it's the money, then how much is IU really losing in gate proceeds and possible bowl appearance fees? Incidentally, Purdue will receive $6 million plus for its Rose Bowl appearance.\nAs an alumnus, I am embarrassed at the mediocrity the athletic department is content with concerning the football team. It's time for Cameron to be fired for his abysmal performance during his tenure and get a coach who's fundamentally sound who can motivate his players to play sound football. \nThe apathy toward the football team is alarming. Maybe a shake-up in the coaching staff is just what this program needs to get back on the right track.\nBelieve me, if the situation with Cameron stays the same, things will get worse. You can count on it.
