Bloomington man charged with public intoxication\nPolice responded Saturday to a report of a man beating his head against the wall of a building in the 900 block of N. Illinois Street and arrested a Bloomington man after he yelled at an officer, police said. \nThe man had been smoking a cigarette and was unsteady from drinking alcohol, police said. He was arrested him for public intoxication, police said. After they handcuffed the man, he verbally assaulted the officer and attempted to shake himself away, police said.\nRobert Michael, 38, of the 3100 block of S. Walnut Street, was arrested and booked into the Monroe County Correctional Center on charges of public intoxication, police said. He was being held in lieu of $250 cash bond. \nWoman arrested after domestic dispute\nPolice officers responding to a report of a domestic violence in the 2300 block of S. Rogers Street Saturday found a man at the residence with a bloodied head, police said.\nOfficers approached the man's wife, who refused to provide identification, police said. She told police she had been fighting with her husband and scratched his head, police said. She then yelled at officers to leave and fought them, police said. She also tried to kick her husband again, police said.\nAmberlea Brunton, 38, of the 2300 block of S. Rogers Street, was arrested and booked into the Monroe County Correctional Center on charges of battery, resisting law enforcement and disorderly conduct, police said. She was released on $1,000 bond.\nPolice seek man on charges of attacking former girlfriend\nA Bloomington woman reported to police that her former boyfriend attacked her in her home Saturday when he came back to gather his belongings to move out, police said.\nThe woman said her ex-boyfriend grabbed her by the hair and pulled her upstairs to the bedroom after she had asked him to leave, police said. He threw her down on a mattress and held her down by the wrists and stood on her ankles, police said.\nAt one point during the struggle, he choked her, police said.\nPolice said she eventually escaped and fled to a nearby house.\nPolice filed a probable cause affidavit for battery against Darrell Burford, 30, of Bloomington, but they have been unable to locate him.
