The Indiana Supreme Court Disciplinary Commission filed a complaint Monday against Indiana Attorney General Todd Rokita, alleging misconduct in the case against IU Health OB-GYN Dr. Caitlin Bernard. The complaint contains three charges surrounding statements Rokita made during his investigation of Bernard.

Indiana Attorney General Todd Rokita filed a lawsuit Friday against IU Health and IU Healthcare Associates. The lawsuit claims they violated patient privacy and state law after a doctor shared the story of a 10-year-old rape victim from Ohio who had traveled to Indiana for an abortion.

This past January, YouTube personality James Donaldson, known professionally as MrBeast, uploaded a video titled “1,000 Blind People See For The First Time.” In this video, which, as of publication, has over 156 million views, Donaldson provides 1,000 lower-income people with the funds to undergo a 10-minute surgery that cured their blindness.

The American Civil Liberties Union of Indiana filed a lawsuit Monday challenging an Indiana law banning gender-affirming sexual reassignment surgeries for anyone imprisoned in Indiana, after the state’s correctional agency denied a procedure for an incarcerated transgender woman.

The Indiana Supreme Court voted to uphold Senate Enrolled Act 1, which bans abortions except for in limited cases, Monday. In August 2022 Indiana passed a near-total abortion ban, which has been unable to take effect until now. The ruling comes three weeks after the American Civil Liberties Union of Indiana, which represented abortion clinics in the state, filed a petition to halt the near-total ban.

Curtis Hill, who served as the former Indiana Attorney General from 2017 to 2021, announced Monday he is running for Indiana Governor. Hill joins a crowded race for the Republican nomination, vying for the open seat left by exiting Gov. Eric Holcomb, who cannot seek reelection due to term limits.
