No rival upset coming for Hoosiers

Perhaps the only thing that made this season of struggle worse for IU basketball fans was the preseason prediction that put hated Purdue atop the Big Ten at year’s end. Worse yet, Robbie Hummel, recipient of many Kelvin Sampson phone calls, was preseason player of the year.

21 teams ready to compete in IU Sing

Twenty-one teams will compete in the 77th IU Sing, sponsored by the IU Student Foundation, at 7:30 p.m. Friday and Saturday at the IU Auditorium. Of the teams competing, 19 are paired fraternities and sororities. The other two teams are from the Korean Student Association and the Christian Student Fellowship.

Angelou to speak at IU Auditorium

Student teachers have opportunity to expand horizons

When many future teachers graduate from college, they try to find jobs in areas that they are familiar with, such as their hometowns, but a program in the School of Education is hoping to change that. The Cultural Immersion Projects is a way for students to do their student teaching in places that are likely different from where they are from, said Laura Stachowski, Cultural Immersion Projects director.

‘Rock on Rach’ honors IU student
