The Hoosiers will face new competitors this weekend in Geneva, Ohio.

Junior David Schall competes in the shot put in the Hoosier Open on Dec. 8 in Harry Gladstein Fieldhouse. Schall won the men's shot put in Saturday's dual meet with Tennessee with a new meet record of 18.70 meters. Schall got to rest this weekend while a few of his teammates went to South Bend, Indiana, for the Alex Wilson Invitational.

The IU track and field team sent a limited number of athletes to the Alex Wilson Invitational, while the other got to rest for the Big Ten Championships.

Junior Katherine Receveur races in the 5000 meter in the Hoosier Open in Harry Gladstein Fieldhouse. Receveur won the event in a new facility record time of 15:48.10. She, and six other teammates competed in the Alex Wilson Invitational this weekend.
