The Hoosiers came away with a fifth-place finish that saw all of IU’s players finish the tournament in the top 50. “We definitely played with a lot of heart today,” IU coach Clint Wallman said in a statement. “The team did a good job grinding for good scores.”
In its last meeting with Michigan, the IU men’s tennis team was unable to muster a single set and lost 7-0. On Friday, just six days later, the No. 20 Wolverines eliminated the No. 67 Hoosiers from the Big Ten championships.

Six days after the IU women’s tennis team defeated Michigan for one of its biggest wins of the season, the Wolverines got their revenge with a 4-2 victory to eliminate the Hoosiers from the Big Ten tournament.

The IU rowing team left Lake Wingra in Madison, Wisc., with a bronze medal and seventh as a team overall at the 2007 Big Ten rowing championships Saturday. “I think in terms of our personal advancement as a team, IU did well,” said freshman Michelle Marchese. “Each boat came off the water pleased that they had great rows, but I think most of the girls were just disappointed with the outcome of the races.”
