IU center added to Rimington Trophy preseason watch list

In 2008, Matte was a freshman center on the scout team, looking up to teammates and current NFL offensive linemen Rodger Saffold and James Brewer. Now heading into the 2012 season, Matte is the oldest member of IU’s offense as a redshirt senior, and is ready to have his swan song campaign as a Hoosier football player.

The IU football team gained it's ninth recruit for its 2013 class Sunday night after Cypress Falls' (Texas) Jacobi Hunter announced he would be joining IU Coach Kevin Wilson's squad next fall.

Students will receive five points for each set of season tickets they have purchased for football or men’s basketball while at IU, with a maximum of 10 points per year. Students with the most priority points will be given seats in the lower bowl of Assembly Hall for highly anticipated home games.

In its first action of regular season play, the IU men’s soccer team beat Saint Louis on Friday and Cincinnati on Sunday to win the Billiken Classic title.
