Improved defense, middle-relief keys late-season turnaround

Four weeks ago, the IU baseball team was in a rut. It returned battered and beaten after losing four straight to Penn State and 10 of their last 12 overall in the Big Ten. Then, to hear it from IU coach Tracy Smith, Tyler Rogers moved from third base to his natural position at second, and everything changed.

Former Missouri State coach to join Hoosier bench

Indiana head women’s basketball coach, Felisha Legette-Jack recently announced the hiring of Katie Abrahamson-Henderson. She will join the Hoosiers June 1 after serving as an assistant coach at the University of Washington for a season.

IU advances to National Championship

By the skin of its teeth, the No. 23 IU men’s golf team advanced to their first National Championship since 1996. Needing a 10th place finish at the Central Regionals on Ohio State’s Scarlet Golf Course, IU bested Tennessee by one stroke and achieved their goal, shooting a 901.

Angel Escobedo wins Olympic Regional Trial

Angel Escobedo now sits one tournament title away from achieving one of his life-long dreams – shipping his skills from Bloomingotn to Beijing for the 2008 Summer Olympics. Escobedo has a laundry list of accolades in the sport he has dominated from a young age. In high school, the Griffith, Ind., native won four consecutive state championships.

IU signs 8-year deal with adidas
