The IU softball team will visit conference rival Penn State University this weekend for a brief two-game series. IU will look to improve on its .500 (2-2) conference record after winning its last Big Ten game, an upset against third-ranked Michigan.
Since coming over from the University of Nevada in June 2008, Gardner’s Hoosiers compiled a 22-72 record in her first two years, but this year the team has made great strides with a 19-13 record.
