Saturday brings senior night for team

The weekend begins Friday as No. 2 Nebraska volleyball travels to Bloomington for the first time in school history. In the teams’ first meeting of season, the Cornhuskers swept the Hoosiers in Lincoln, Neb.

Shooting incident leads to police chase

Thomas E. Oakley, 29, and his girlfriend had just arrived at a residence in the 1600 block of West Eighth Street at 6:10 p.m., Bloomington Police Sgt. Jeff Canada said, when the pair began arguing.
