Juried art show displays art work with sex themes

The Kinsey Institute threw an opening reception for its 7th Annual Juried Art Show from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday at the Grunwald Gallery of Art. The show is on display until Saturday, July 21, and features contemporary works by artists from the United States and Canada who explore themes of gender, sexual identity, eroticism and sexuality.

Golf season ends at NCAA regional

The IU men’s golf team’s postseason tournament run came to an end at the NCAA Central Regional tournament Saturday, as the Hoosiers posted a 303 in the final round, 15 shots over par. Competition took place at the Grandover Resort and Conference Center East Course in Greensboro, N.C.

Man arrested for car theft, eluding police

Officers from the Bloomington Police Department responded at about 8:45 a.m. Saturday after a witness reported a man crashed a vehicle into a telephone pole near the intersection of South Rockport Road and West Graham Drive.

Woman in auto crash charged with negligence

A Bloomington woman was arrested Saturday following a car crash. The woman allegedly told police investigating the accident that she had left her five children at home unattended.

Well, that’s at least true for the students of Bloomington High School South’s yearbook and newspaper staffs. The two publications have faced each other in an annual softball game for the past six years, and the newspaper has won every time, including Friday’s match.

The Northern Indiana Better Business Bureau has given a former Fort Wayne meat company staff a rating of “F.” Customers complained about Country Choice Aged Midwestern Beef’s “delivery issues,” “guarantee/warrantee issues” and “problems with product/service.”

Yoga instructors teach classes at IU Art Museum
