McRobbie leads IU Delegation to Asia

IU President Michael McRobbie will be traveling to Beijing, China, to open a new IU office Saturday and will return May 30. The new office will establish and renew agreements with higher education institutions of the area, as well as meet with alumni, business and governmental officials, according to a press release.

Hoosier bats come alive, beat Gophers 8-0

Big Ten outright winners IU beat Minnesota in the rubber match 8-0. The win gave the Hoosiers the series win against the Gophers. On the year, IU won all eight of its Big Ten series, sweeping five of them.

The slippery conditions caused a combined seven errors between IU (37-13, 20-3) and Minnesota (27-21, 13-10). The Hoosiers won 7-3 thanks to timely throwing errors by the Gophers.

Minnesota's Connor Schaefbauer hit a go ahead RBI double in the 10th inning to give the Gophers (27-20, 13-9) a lead against the Hoosiers (36-13, 19-3).
