Preach on, Preacher Dan!

"Brother Jim” Gilles is on a mission from God to save your soul. According to his Web site, he has been “your holiness home missionary to the universities America” since 1982. But if he wants to preach at campuses in Indiana, he will have to stay within university-designated areas. Brother Jim sued Vincennes University in 2004 when it required him to file a request before speaking on campus and restricted him to a sidewalk in front of the student union.

Holocaust survivor leaves Hillel audience in awe with story of death camps

As tears ran down Holocaust survivor Philip Gans face, he described the moment when he first saw the American tanks coming to liberate Auschwitz – the same day his father died. Gans spoke about his traumatic survival of the Holocaust while a packed room listened intensely Wednesday in the Helene G. Hillel Center.

Riders get an early start on training

The IU Student Foundation Fall Cycling Series kicked off with the first of three events Oct. 7 with the men’s and women’s Cyclocross at Bill Armstrong Stadium. Katie Haft and Pam Loebig – who competed on different teams in last year’s Little 500 – won the women’s race, while Tyler George and Andy Haas of Delta Sigma Pi rode away with the men’s title.
