Argentine seminary ousts Holocaust-denying bishop

IMU implementing gender-neutral restrooms

Smith’s Sport ’n Shoe moves, renames

Local sports store Smith’s Sport ’n Shoe has a new location and name, but owner Steve Smith says the economy is not to blame. The store, now called Smith’s Shoe Center, openead Jan. 23 in its 11,000 square-foot new location at the corner of South Walnut Street and Miller Drive.

West side Copper Cup closes

Bloomington’s west side location of Copper Cup closed last week due to bad location and the economy, said owner Dean Foster. Despite the trouble, however, Foster said Bloomington’s two locations near campus will remain open.

Crime victims accidentally sent false messages

More than 330 incorrect automated phone calls and thousands of emails were triggered Thursday by a computer glitch during maintenance on the statewide victim information service that allows victims to sign up for automated updates on offenders.
