IU must fight social injustice

As IU is a public institution, and one that promotes advancement in life and society through the empowerment of education, I see it as our duty to do our part in fighting societal injustices. A recent Indiana Daily Student investigation revealed that IU will not meet its goal of doubling minority enrollment by next school year. This is unacceptable.

Children who attend high-quality pre-k programs are less likely to be held back a grade, more likely to graduate from high school and more likely to have higher earnings as adults

Hoosiers fall against Purdue

While the Hoosiers came in with a clear mindset and the return of junior starter Ryan LeBlanc, Indiana could not best the Boilermakers on their home mat. The Hoosiers dropped the match against in-state rival Purdue with a final score of 28-13, moving to 0-7 in the Big Ten.

At the 2013 Meyo Invitational on Feb. 2, Houston cleared the 5.40-meter (17-foot-8.5-inch) height to set a new personal record.

Drouin jumps to another Big Ten Athlete of the Week honor

Drouin's 2.32m-jump also broke the 25-year-old Gladstein Fieldhouse record for men's high jump set by Mark Reed. Later that night, Drouin said it was a very special feeling to be able to break the record in his final home meet.

Stadium Crossing resident's car stolen at gunpoint

A group of three men reportedly jumped a Stadium Crossing resident Sunday evening in the parking lot of the complex formerly known as the Villas. The group then reportedly demanded the victim’s car keys at gunpoint and drove away in the victim’s silver Kia Soul.
