Nate Stanger, a Bloomington High School South alumnus, helped with the "All for All" campaign to help raise funding for extracurricular teachers' stipends. His participation in the play “The Complete Works of William Shakespeare (Abridged)” helped him to rediscover – and appreciate – Bloomington.

Student’s hand cut in friend feud

An IU student was arrested after cutting another student’s hand at 6 p.m. Monday in the 10th Street parking lot. The IU Police Department received a call about the incident at 6:30 p.m.

A federal judge overturned California's same-sex marriage ban Wednesday in a landmark case that could eventually land before the U.S. Supreme Court to decide if gays have a constitutional right to marry in America.

BHSS alumni production brings laughs, support

From July 21 to 31, zany props joined poor Yorick’s skull on the Bloomington High School South auditorium stage for “The Complete Works of William Shakespeare (Abridged).” All profits benefited the Monroe County Community School Corporation’s extracurricular activities fund.

Car wash raises almost $34,000 for MCCSC fund

All extracurricular organizations at BHSS — from athletics  to student council — came together for a common goal: to help finish raising the $750,000 for the “All for All” campaign put on by the Foundation of Monroe County Community Schools. The car wash raised a total of $33,778.
