Becca Twait, a sophomore at IU, has been playing as a jammer on the Bleeding Heartland Roller Derby team in Bloomington since she joined the team in October. As the jammer, Becca scores points for her team by skating around the track and lapping members of the opposing team. "I like hitting people and going fast," said Twait. "Going fast is what I'm best at."

Gathered in front of rows of his supporters — many of whom were dressed in white T-shirts with his name on it — Darryl Neher, Democratic candidate for mayor of Bloomington, announced Monday evening a trio of endorsements for his candidacy: former Bloomington City Council President Charlotte Zietlow, Judge Vi Taliaferro and former City Council Clerk Pat Williams.
